Chat GPT Ruined it for writers

Since chat GPT became popular, getting writing contracts has become more difficult. A few years ago, I could easily land book deals. I used to write non-stop, aiming for at least three thousand words a day. I managed to publish six novels and four kids’ books, including “Dark Honor,” which had over 300,000 words. But since GPT technology emerged, things have changed. Platforms like Webnovel reject submissions, regardless of how good the synopsis is or how many views the book gets. I mean why pay writers when AI can do the job? I’m left wondering if writers without being well known as Stephen King or Dean Koontz have a future in this industry dominated by AI? I have taken a break from writing and rather and shifted to 3d animation which pays quite well, but whats the point when my passion is writing?
