I often write suspenseful stories that delve into psychological themes, such as dissociative identity disorder (DID), which is central to both Desolate and Retrograde. In Retrograde, I explore memory loss, particularly the inability to recall information acquired before the onset of amnesia. DID, formerly known as multiple personality disorder, is a complex condition where an individual exhibits two or more distinct personality states. In *Desolate*, my protagonist is on medication to manage her condition, but a small incident triggers a setback. This occurs when she stumbles upon an old, abandoned house. Inside, she discovers a mirror and meets a whole new family, only to realize they once lived in that house. The mystery of their disappearance becomes the driving force of the story.
